We had a great turnout last Wednesday at the Volunteer Night and AGM. There was a real buzz of optimism and pride in the room at all we’ve managed to achieve together over the last year, and the exciting plans ahead. Each of the main volunteer teams spoke of some of their highlights. Individually they made for impressive stories; but added together it was pretty amazing to hear what we’ve managed in getting so much going. There was praise and applause for every one of the volunteers involved.
At the AGM there was praise, too, for Vicci Johnson, who has stepped down as Co-Chair of Greening Steyning after two years. Happily she’s staying on the Steering Group. Geoff Barnard was voted in as co-Chair for another year, so will be actively looking for a replacement for Vicci. If you fancy a challenge and would like to know more about what’s involved, do get in touch with Geoff at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Nicky Mason was voted in for another year as Treasurer, having given an encouraging report back on our financial position at the end of 2023. You can see the annual accounts here.
Everything we do depends on volunteer power. If you are interested in getting more involved in any of our projects you can see more of the details on our Volunteer Sign Up Form.
