Green Drinks : 2040 Film Screening

Join us for a special online screening of the uplifting film ‘2040’.

What:  This is a in inspiring and uplifting film on what the future could look like if we act now, by talented New Zealand director Damon Gameau.

2040 is an upbeat and positive film about climate change with practical suggestions on how we can get on top of the crisis.  In it, award-winning director Damon Gameau embarks on a journey to explore what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we embrace the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream.

Structured as a letter to his 4-year-old daughter, Damon blends traditional documentary with dramatised sequences and high-end visual effects to create a convincing vision of how these solutions could regenerate the world for future generations.

See clip of the film and BBC interview with the director here.

What the critics say:  “Accessible, informative and optimistic look at solutions to the climate crisis…2040 is a rare climate documentary with an optimistic message” (New York Times)
